The drive
Out of Florence and south on the Firenze–Siena raccordo — toll-free, no lorries to speak of, and hills the whole way. Within twenty minutes the city is genuinely gone and the view is vineyards.
About an hour to Colle, fifteen minutes more to Casole d'Elsa. Since it is a daytime run rather than an airport one, it is easy to add a stop: San Gimignano is barely off the line, and so is Monteriggioni.
Leaving central Florence
Central Florence is a limited-traffic zone and much of it is pedestrianised, so the pick-up point matters more here than it does anywhere else. Some hotels have a loading bay, some have a nearby square where a vehicle can wait a few minutes, and a few require walking a short distance with the cases.

Arriving in Colle and Casole
Colle is two towns in one: Colle Alta on the ridge behind its gate, Colle Bassa below with the crystal works. Which half you are staying in decides where a vehicle can stop, and I live here, so it is already known.
Casole d'Elsa is a quarter of an hour further west, and many of the villas around it sit kilometres out on unpaved roads. That is ordinary here and included — send the address as the owner wrote it.

How many people fit in the van?
Up to 8 passengers with their luggage, in a nine-seat Mercedes Vito. Groups of three to eight are exactly what the van is for — you all travel together instead of being split across two cars. For larger parties I can arrange a second vehicle; just tell me the number.
Do you charge per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. The price is the same whether there are three of you or eight, which is what makes a group transfer good value — the more of you, the less it costs each. Every journey is quoted on request, so send me your date, airport and group size and the figure comes back.
Which airports do you cover?
Florence Peretola (FLR) and Pisa Galileo Galilei (PSA) are the closest, both a little over an hour away. I also drive to and from Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Ciampino (CIA), Milan Malpensa (MXP) and Linate (LIN), Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY), Venice Marco Polo (VCE) and Naples Capodichino (NAP).
Can you drive us to a villa in the middle of nowhere?
Yes — that is most of my work. Hotels, villas, agriturismi and farmhouses down unsealed white roads around Siena, Casole d'Elsa, Chianti and the Val d'Orcia. Send me the address or a map pin and I will find it; if the last stretch is rough, I will tell you in advance.
